Daarvoor was zij senior-raadsheer bij het Hof Den Haag en voorzitter Team strafrecht, voorzitter Team Familierecht, rechter bij de rechtbank Rotterdam (sector straf) en kinderrechter. Zij heeft veel publicaties op haar naam staan op het gebied van het jeugdstrafrecht en familierecht. Tevens is zij voorzitter van de EB redactie.
